I absolutely love this foundation! I’m extremely skeptical about what I use on my face because in middle school, I looked like a pepperoni pizza. I used to wear foundations that would break me out even more, and eventually I just stopped with makeup. But a couple months ago, I wanted to try some again. I did a lot of research and read/watched tons of reviews. That’s how I heard of the Tarte foundation.
My skin is oily/combination and this works perfectly with it! I’ve been using it for about five months and it’s been great. It has a great thick texture and makes your face look matte. It’s great for people with oily skin because it’s oil-free! I just use my fingers and dot some of it onto my face, and then I use a brush to blend it out. My color is medium honey, and it completely matches me. The range of colors this foundation has is quite impressive, it features 16 different shades!

The foundation has SPF 15 and is supposed to last 12 hours. I’ve used it without a primer and it’s lasted me about my entire day, which is about 12 hours. I’m pretty lazy, so I never do touch-ups, add a finishing product, or anything like that.
Some ingredients that they used in this are mineral pigments, vitamin E, sodium hyaluronate, and obviously Amazonian clay. The mineral pigments don’t have any oils or chemical ingredients, which make them better for your skin. Vitamin E has many benefits, one being that it protects your skin from UV radicals. The sodium hyaluronate can penetrate your skin and retain water, which helps skin looks more full or plump. The Amazonian clay is known for giving skin a smooth and even look. Of course there’s more ingredients, but these are the ones that the box shows as “skinvigorating ingredients”.
Overall, I absolutely love this foundation! Goes on well, stays on for a long time, doesn’t break me out, and the color is perfect. There is only a slight downside. It is a higher end foundation, so it’s expensive. I bought mine at Sephora for $38. It may not seem like a lot to you, but to me, as a college student, I thought it was expensive. But, it does what it says it’s supposed to do, and it’s been about 5 months, and I still have a lot of it. Definitely worth the money and I will be buying again!
If you tried it, let me know if you like it or not! Also, feel free to checkout my video down below on it!
Thanks for reading, bye!
Love your post! I’ve never tried this foundation before but I’ll ask for a sample next time I go to Sephora. I also have oily skin so I was skeptical at first about the longevity of the foundation.

I think $38 is a lot for a foundation! Buuut if it works, then it’s probably worth it!

That’s the same thought I had too! But it definitely works, maybe they do samples for it, so you can test it out first!
