Annie’s Way: Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share my thoughts on the Annie’s Way: Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask. I had mentioned this in my Beauteque Mini-Haul. It says, “whitening, moisturizing, minimizes fine lines, leaves skin radiantly bright. Suitable for dark and dry skin”. It comes with a little spatula, which you’re supposed to use to put the product on your face.

The directions first want you to cleanse your face as you normally would. Then, use the spatula to put on the product, about .3 to .5 cm thick. Then, after 30 minutes, use the spatula to scoop the mask off.

The first thing I noticed about this mask, is that it stinks. I absolutely hate the smell, and I’m usually very tolerant with the smells of certain masks. This was definitely one of the worst I’ve smelled. So if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing, maybe this is not the right mask for you. It is very cooling to the skin, which is a nice feeling. I felt that “tightening” feeling, which is always good. I did have to use a lot of the product though. You get 250 ml of product, but it’s supposed to be layered to be about .3 cm- .5 cm thick, so I had to use a lot of it.

As you can see in the picture, the spatula is a good applicator, but you can’t really smooth the mask down. When I took the mask off though, I could see a difference! I didn’t put it all the way up to my hairline, and the part I missed was darker than the rest of my face. I’ve used the mask only a couple of times too, and to see a difference that fast is amazing. I’m using this to help my dark spots, and it’s been helping a lot. I’ll show you guys when they are as faded as they can get.

The only complaints I have about this mask are it’s smell and after you take it off. After I took it off, my skin was so dry! Around my lips, I had very obvious dry patches and my forehead had some too! I find it interesting the packaging says it’s suitable for dry skin, I feel like it would make it much worse. If you want to try this mask out, definitely keep a good moisturizer readily available to apply, as soon as you take it off. I paid $19.50 for this, from Beauteque.

Overall, I am going to continue using this mask. Even though it has a couple downsides, it does do the main thing it claims. I’ve been looking for something to help my dark spots for a long time, and this worked in a couple uses. If you want to check it out, you can find it on the Beauteque website here, or try Amazon.

Thanks so much for reading!
