Hello everyone!
Happy New Year! I don’t know where you guys are from, but on the East Coast, we’re finally feeling the cold weather. Around Christmas time, it was really nice, like 70 degrees nice! But this week it dropped straight down to 30 degrees and now it’s feeling like winter. I love cold weather and snow, but I hate what it can do to my skin. Keeping your body moisturized is very important during the winter. Today, I wanted to share what I’ve been using for my lips.
I have two products I use throughout the year: Vaseline and Carmex.
I love Carmex! It works so well and is really inexpensive. I use it everyday! As soon as I put it on, my lips feel hydrated and it gives a healthy sheen. The Vaseline is what I used on my lips every night. It keeps them moisturized throughout the night, so when I wake up, I don’t have dry and cracked lips.
I have two new lip products I’ve added to my collection, specifically because they are good when it’s really cold.
They are the Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Tulip and Fresh: Sugar Honey Tinted Lip Treatment.
The Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick is way more pigmented and I wear it when I’m going out to see people and want to look “done”. It’s a muted pink, with brown undertones. I love it because it’s one of the most hydrating lipsticks I’ve ever worn and it has a mint scent when you put it on, which I love!
The Fresh Sugar in the color Honey, is more of my everyday, go to lip balm. It’s more of a tinted lip balm, so it’s perfect for when you want a natural look. I like this one because not only is the color natural looking, but it also has 15 spf in it to protect your lips. It also moisturizes my lips very well!
