I purchased this beautiful and dainty evil eye necklace from the Etsy shop Rudiana and wanted to share my thoughts on it.
Before we get into anything, I wanted to talk about the evil eye symbol in general. It has been around for centuries and has been present in many different cultures. I’m more familiar with it from the Indian and Arabic cultures. Basically, it’s a talisman against people who wish for bad things to happen to you. Or, you may receive too many compliments or someone feels jealous, and it’s believed that something bad may happen to you.
Though I’m not religious, I might be slightly, just a tad bit, superstitious. I like having it around, but I wanted a dainty look, rather than a big and bold look. So, I turned to Etsy and found this cute little gem.
I absolutely love this! It’s cute and the opal is just perfect and goes with everything. The chain is 16.5″ and the chain is on the thinner side, which I prefer.
I’ve had this necklace for four months, and it hasn’t faded at all. The material is brass, but I’ve never worn it in the shower or anything, so I don’t know if it’ll react to that.
I purchased this for about $19 and I received it in one week. It ships from California, so that was a very good delivery time! Highly recommend!
