I recently purchased the HudaBeauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Medium. I purchased this during the Sephora sale, so I received 10% off my purchase. Without any discounts, this is $29.00 at Sephora.
Palette Shade Options:
There are three variations of this palette: Nude Light, Nude Medium, and Nude Rich. I chose Nude Medium because I like the warmer shades, which aren’t as dark as Nude Rich. Nude Medium has some nice terracotta shades that would create a simple everyday makeup look for professional environments. The Nude Rich shades were are also gorgeous, but some of the shadows are a little darker. On my skin-tone, it would look a little too dramatic for work. Nude Light is pretty, but it has more cool-toned shadows, which I don’t particularly like. Well, not enough to pay $29 for them. All three palettes contain nine shadows, five mattes and four shimmery metallics.
Also, the metallic shimmers in the Medium and Rich palettes are extremely similar, so when deciding, look at the mattes. The website has swatches of all eye-shadows from each palette on three general skin tones to help you choose what might be best for you.
The packaging for this is really simple and elegant. It’s a terracotta shade on the front, with a textured feel. There’s also a gold border around the palette, which gives it more of a “boujee” look. It has the brand’s name and palette in various fonts. Personally, I don’t like having regular print and a cursive font together, but that’s just my personal preference. Overall, it’s a very nice and classy look.
This is a quick and simple look I put together with this palette. The shadows are soft and creamy. The mattes go on beautifully. They are pigmented, but I like packing it on to have it look even more vibrant. The metallic shimmers actually feel the same as the mattes. Soft and creamy! But, they pack a punch, so use a small amount and slowly work your way up to the pigmentation you want.
Overall, I really like this palette. The mattes are perfect for creating everyday looks, but you can also create a nice warm-toned glam look with the palette if you wanted to! If you like rosy, warm-tones and creamy eyeshadows, this one is perfect.
I would say it’s worth $29. For nine shadows, that’s about $3.20 per shadow, which isn’t bad considering how high-quality they are. There wasn’t any fallout, and like I mentioned before, I did pack it on. The shimmers didn’t have fallout either, just work with them carefully, as they are a little more pigmented than you might expect.
This is my first time trying out a HudaBeauty eyeshadow palette. Glad to say that I’m impressed and happy with my purchase. HudaBeauty is also a cruelty free brand, which is an awesome plus! Let me know if you guys have tried any HudaBeauty products and your thoughts on them!
