Hello everyone,
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m going all cruelty free for 2020. One product that I’ve been using specifically because the company is cruelty free is the Frank Body Anti-Makeup Cleansing Oil. I’ve been using this product for about a month now, and I really like it. I purchased the cleansing oil from Ulta for $23.95. It’s the same price on their website as well.
I used makeup wipes before, but I saw lots of articles stating makeup wipes tend to be bad for your skin. Wipes really don’t remove all your makeup, and some may leave a residue on your skin. The residue may be advertised as moisturizing your skin, but it’s really attracting gunk to your skin. No thanks. Also, the majority of makeup wipes are bad for the environment, so I wanted something that would reduce my waste for makeup and skincare.
I’ve wanted to try Frank Body products for a long time, I just didn’t know what to get. I was motivated by my fellow blogger, Jenni, and all of her Frank Body reviews. I was looking through their products, and came across this and thought…yeah, I could use a cleansing oil.

So happy I tried it! I followed their instructions on how to use it, and really liked the results. Basically, just make sure your hands are clean, then pump the oil into your dry hands. I do about two pumps, then just start rubbing the oil onto my face. At this point, water should not be involved yet, just rub the oil onto your face.
At first, this felt really weird. I was like…am I really supposed to just rub this on my face without water? But as I rubbed, I could see the makeup breaking up and completely coming off my face. After about a minute, I add water and continue with the rubbing motions. It turns slightly white/mixed with makeup, but you can clearly see your makeup is off. After that, I just rinse and continue with my normal skin care routine.
This makes my skin feel so moisturized and soft. It’s so easy too, literally just need your hands. No cotton balls or cotton pads, so you’re not throwing something away everyday. I’ve used this for heavy makeup too, and it does a great job. All of my makeup is off, even my inner eye makeup. With the wipes, I always knew I had some spots of makeup left, but with this, it’s all gone. It works well with my eyeliner, and I gently use my fingers with the product on my lashes for mascara. Definitely be careful with your eyes, but it does take off my mascara.
Like I previously mentioned, this is $23.95, and you get 2.71 fl. oz., which is pretty good. I like the packaging, it’s a muted pink, with a simple brown cap. I lost my cap, but the pump is the same brown color. I’m really happy they went with a pump, it could’ve been really messy without it.
Overall, I really like this product! I use about two pumps everyday, and I still have a lot of product left. I haven’t broken out or had any issues from using this. I definitely recommend this if you want to try out a cleansing oil!
Do you have any favorite cleansing oils?
