Simple Halloween Bat Makeup Look

I’m sorry that I’ve been sporadic with my posts lately! I wasn’t feeling inspired and didn’t want to force anything. But, I’m back! I feel like fall and Halloween have brought back my inspiration, so without further ado, here’s my simple Halloween Boujee Bat look. I mean…I had a faux fur vest, so it’s boujee. 💁🏽‍♀️

This is a really simple look! I don’t expect anyone to be having Halloween parties or anything because of COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little bit of fun and still dress up or do some Halloween makeup for yourself. If you have fun doing it, it’s worth it, especially nowadays!

First, I think the ears really make the look. I purchased these ears from Amazon, and it comes with eight pairs of ears! You can use them for a variety of different looks! I paid $9.55. If you’re able to do it safely, I’m sure Halloween stores have similar pointy ears.

I used my trusty 39s ‘Such a Gem’, Morphe palette, as usual. I’ve had this palette for a long time, and continuously use it for Halloween makeup…so worth it. You don’t necessarily need this palette though! Definitely work with what you have.

All you need is a burgundy shade, black shade, and a transition shade. I used the transition shade first, all over my lid and crease, up to my brow bone. Then, I used my burgundy shade all over my lid, bringing it up slightly above my lid. I did that because with my eye lids, if I don’t bring up my pop of color slightly, you won’t really see it when my eyes are open, only when they’re closed.

Next, I used the black on the inner and outer parts of my lid. I went back in with my burgundy, and patted it on, so the pigmentation would come through. Went through with my transition shade to blend them a little more, and then added a winged liner and lashes.

I used a face paint set for my nose and lips. You can always use similar colored eyeliners or an angled brush and pigmented eyeshadow.

One of my friends said that her neighborhood is allowing social distancing trick or treating, so her family is going to sit in their driveway and try and throw the candy into the kids baskets.
