Hello everyone!
About three weeks ago, I was at Universal having the best time of my life at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was absolutely amazing and I wanted to share it with you guys.
First of all, when you go to get butterbeer, you need to get it frozen. I didn’t know this was thing and they don’t have signs up saying you can get it frozen. My boyfriend knew you could and that’s how I learned. The frozen butterbeer was delicious! I’m sure regular butterbeer is great too, but frozen is perfect when it’s hot and humid in Orlando.
Of course, I had to get a wand. They actually have a lot of wand shops, but of course we waited for Ollivander’s. There are two Ollivander’s shops, one in Diagon Alley and one in Hogsmeade. Ollivander’s was the only shop with a super long line, but they did a really fun demonstration of “the wand chooses the wizard”, so it was super worth it. If you don’t really need that specific “Ollivander’s” experience, you can get wands at any of the other shops too!
Where are my fellow Slytherins at?! đ The wand I really liked was a Death Eater wand. It looked so cool to me and stood out against the other wands. Some of the other wands looked like “toys” and I wanted to put my wand up on display in my apartment, and this one looked more like a unique decoration, so I needed it. If you follow me on Tiktok at AmandaSushma, you’ll see I was trying to get my money’s worth out of using it as a prop…it was $65..,yes, I know it’s an interactive stick, leave me alone đ
We were also able to see the dragon spit fire! It was epic! If you go, make sure it’s a clear day. If it’s rainy, they might not have it spewing fire, but it was amazing. It’s also timed, so ask an employee in the area the next time it might go off!
We also got on the Hogwarts Express, which was so cool! I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t been, but definitely worth it. The Harry Potter world takes over two parks in Universal, smart money-making move on their part, so you need to have both park tickets. The Hogwarts Express will take you from one park to the other, and they will be checking tickets.
We did a lot of rides, but only three in Harry Potter. We did the Escape for Gringotts, The Forbidden Journey, and the Hogwarts Express. All of the rides were really fun! Some were simulations, but also had roller coasters and interactive moments.
I won’t go too much into the rest of what we did, since this is about Harry Potter. But, if you enjoy roller coasters, you need to check out the VelociCoaster in Jurassic Park! It was so much fun!
