Hello everyone!
I am so excited to write this! If you’ve been reading some of my “life” posts, for the past 4ish years, I’ve been working at this company where the environment is just plain toxic. I actually did a vlog on my last day is you wanted to watch that (p.s. please subscribe 🤗)
The person who owns the business believes he can verbally abuse his employees and physically harass some, and it’s all fine because he occasionally buys lunch and pays our paychecks. He told me and a fellow co-worker once that “a dollar to me isn’t the same as a dollar to you. You need it more than me”. And I was absolutely disgusted. Previously, he’s verbally abused me, grabbed my arm, etc. I don’t want to dwell too much on my experience there, as I’m super excited about my new job!
I do like my supervisor and feel a little guilty for leaving her, but sometimes you just have to think about what’s best for you. She is a good friend, but working there has done a number to my mental health.
My new job is super close, the people are super friendly, and I actually enjoy it! I’ve been there for about 3ish weeks and loving it so far. Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side!
If you’re in a toxic work environment and can’t quit because you need to get paid, keep applying to other places and don’t give up. You got this!
Thanks you guys so much for reading!
I’m SO happy for you! Your old job sounds incredibly toxic and your boss sounds like an awful person. So glad you were able to get out of there.

Yay!! Good on you for quitting your job, doing stuff like that is never easy. I hope your new job is way nicer! Also, I loved your vlog 🙂 Your ex-coworkers seem like really nice people!
