Hello everyone! Hope you’re doing well!
Today, I’ll be reviewing the Peach & Lily Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser. I’ve been using this for a little over a month now and feel comfortable giving a review on it. This product is $32 for 5.07 oz.
First of all, how cute is the packaging! I love the color and the bottle design. The bottle is very lightweight, with a simple pump applicator. It comes with a stopper when you take it out of the box, and I would definitely keep that. The pump can’t be “turned off”, so the stopper is important if you want to travel without any product spilling out.
I use this as a makeup remover and a cleanser. I wanted a gentle makeup remover, but something a little stronger than the Squalane Cleanser from The Ordinary. I do love that one, but for heavier makeup days, I tend to need a lot of product from that cleanser and it only has 1.7 oz. of product, so I finish it pretty quickly. This Peach & Lily Oil Cleanser has 5.07 oz. of product.
I definitely prefer an oil based cleanser. I love the feeling and it’s more gentle on my skin. I had a reaction to the Pacifica Ceramide Cream, which you can check out here, and my skin is still recovering from that. I would say this product has helped ease any of the irritation and is super gentle and didn’t cause any more reactions on my skin.
It doesn’t leave any residue and breaks down my full coverage makeup very well. It does have a few issues with eye makeup. I need to go over my eyes multiple times to get mascara and eyeliner off. But, it doesn’t sting my eyes, which is great!
I have a weird method with this product. So I’ll do one pump for removing the makeup, one pump for cleansing, and sometimes I do one more pump for a double cleanse or I cleanse with my La Roche Posay cleanser.
This product feels lightweight, and though it’s an oil, it’s not oily if that makes sense. It almost gives a gel cleanser consistency, but a little smoother.
It is fragrance free for anyone whose sensitive or doesn’t like fragrance. The key ingredients this promotes are:
- ginger root extract for antioxidants
- pineapple extract for a smooth texture
- pineapple ferment extract to help prevent signs of external stressors
- sunflower seed oil to help visibly calm and prevent signs of inflammation
- grape seed oil for a more even skin tone
Overall, I think this product is pretty nice! It’s just super expensive for a makeup remover, $32 is a bit much in my opinion. Though I like this and would repurchase, after I’m done, I’ll be looking for a more inexpensive oil based makeup remover.
Thanks for reading! I would love to know your thoughts!
