Fall Trend: Thigh-High Suede Boots and Ankle Boots

Hello all!

Today, I wanted to talk about the season’s best trend ever: Thigh-high suede boots. I absolutely love this look! I recently just purchased a pair from Forever 21’s website, when they were doing a 20% off. I also purchased their gold zippered ankle boots! Check out my video to get the details!

Thank you for watching!

Dead Frida Kahlo Halloween Tutorial

Hello all!
I thought it would be fun to do a Frida Kahlo inspired Halloween look, so I hope you guys enjoy. My video on how I did it is below!

I already had my foundation and concealer done, so I started with my eye makeup.

I primed my lids with the NYX White Eyeshadow Base. I used to NYX Dubai palette to create a gold look, with some burgundy that added depth. You can check out the video to see the exact colors. Then, I used a dark brown eyeshadow as a false liner, to add some smoke to the look. I also added some lashes from the Dollar Tree.

I moved onto the distinct Frida Kahlo brows. I used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony to achieve the look. In the middle of the video, I was going to leave a little gap, but at the end, I decided to go all out and make it a unibrow.

The next step is optional, depending if you want a haunted look, or just be a normal Frida Kahlo. If you want the haunted look, skip this step. It’s the contouring/blush part. In her pictures, Frida has a strong affinity for her blush, and contour/bronzor. So I used my Elf Blush and Bronzor duo to achieve this look, as well as adding more a pink blush with my Mac Blush in Pinch Me.

For the haunted Frida look, you need white and black face paint. I used a cheap makeup sponge and applied the white paint to the bottom half of my face and neck.

As I waited for it to dry, I did my hair. I did two low pigtails, then pulled each pigtail to the opposite side and secured then with a bobby pin. If you look at (time) in the video, that’s where I do the hair.

Then, I moved onto the flower “headband”. I just cut the stems off of some fake flowers from the Dollar Store and stuck then in my hair, to create a fake flower headband. It worked very well!

Back to the face, I used a small, liqud liner applicator, and created a long mouth, and added vertical lines through it. I also blacked out my nose.

And that’s about it for the look. My outfit was just a simple, black maxi dress. I added a large scarf, as my shawl, because Frida wore shawls a lot. I added some gold, dangly earrings and called it a day.

Hope you guys enjoyed the look! Happy Halloween!

ColourPop Lip Swatch

Hey guys!

Recently, I purchased some new Colourpop lippies and thought it would be fun to show you guys. A couple of them I already showed you guys, but I thought I would feature them again for people who haven’t seen.

Lippie Stix

Lippie Stix

I love the formula of these! I have them in the matte finishes, but unlike other mattes, they aren’t drying at all. Honestly, they have a slight shine to them, but I don’t mind. So they aren’t completely matte, but they definitely last a long time.

Ultra Matte Lipstick

Ultra Matte

I love both of these colors! Beeper is a really taupe color with purple undertones. If you want Kae, I highly recommend getting the lip liner with it, because it is really hard to apply without one. I love the color, but because it’s so dark, one mistake can make a big mess. But the color is amazing! Also the packaging is cute, because all of the products from Karrueche’s collection have gold detailing on them.

Ultra Satin Lipstick

Dopey

I only bought one of these because they were new and I wasn’t sure if I would like the formula. But it is amazing! A little bit of shine, smooth on the lips, and the color is perfect!

I hope you guys enjoyed! Feel free to ask me any questions!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Dark & Deep Brown Tutorial

Hello everyone!

Today, I have a video for you guys! In 2014, I wrote a post about my favorite dry shampoo, Batiste Dry Shampoo: Dark & Deep Brown, back in 2014. And…it’s still my favorite, so I thought it would be fun to make a video and show you guys exactly how I use it! Hope it helps any of you who want to try out dry shampoo!

OOTD: Summer Denim Dress

Hello!

Today I wanted to share my denim shirt dress. These dresses are popping up from many different stores/brands and I’m loving it! I bought mine from Forever 21, for about $30. But I’ve seen cheaper ones at Charlotte Russe and in online stores. They come in many different styles, but I opted for the long sleeved, tunic style dress.

It has a little denim “belt” that I prefer to tie in the front. Click here to see a short clip of the entire dress. My shoes were actually on sale at Sears for about $10!

I hope you guys enjoyed this OOTD!

OOTD: Tan Summer Dress

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share my favorite dress with you guys! It’s is a faux suede, light brown dress. I bought it from TJ Maxx and it’s from the brand Sage. I love that it’s sleeveless and has a mock turtleneck.

I love the designs on this dress, they give a bohemian/tribal type of feel.

I pair this dress either with black booties or black sandals. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Faux Suede Cap

Hello everyone!

Recently, I’ve been really into the hats, specifically baseball caps. I really like the suede and leather looking ones, so I thought that I would try them out. I purchased a fake suede cap from Amazon and I absolutely love it!

It’s from the store Funky Junque and I paid $14.03 for it. I really like how it looks. Just so you know it’s obviously fake suede, it’s 100% polyester. It has the “suede look” though. I have a really small head, and the velcro strap adjusts very well for it. The lines at the top of the hat separate it into six sections.

Overall, I really love this hat and the cute looks it can help me create. Also, it’s perfect for when you don’t feel like washing your hair. I hope you guys enjoyed and if you have any comments or questions, feel free to ask down below.

Hot Tools Pink Wand Curls

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting in awhile, but school is finally over! So without a further ado, let’s get to the fun stuff!

I’ve been using this curling wand for almost two years and I absolutely love it! It is the Hot Tools Tapered Curling Iron. The smallest part is 3/4 of an inch and it goes up to 1 1/4″. I keep it on 350 degrees and have the best curls.

I start off with applying Tresemme Heat Tamer spray, especially towards my ends. I am quite a lazy person, so I don’t section my hair. My hair is all virtually the same length, so I just grab random sections and curl them. It took me a while to figure out how to get these curls, but the secret is holding the strand there for only 6 to 10 seconds. When you hold the strand there for too long, it gets too tight and doesn’t loosen up as nicely.

With this curling iron it only takes me about ten to fifteen minutes to do my hair, which is awesome! I also really like that the iron has a little stand, so that the hot part doesn’t touch any surfaces. It also has a light that allows you to know if it’s turned on or off. Also, the cord is 8 feet long and swivels, which is really helpful!

I bought mine from Ulta for about $60.00. It is pricey but the quality is worth it. It also comes with a protective glove, (but I don’t use it). It is made out of titanium, which helps the heat spread faster, so you don’t have to wait a long time for it to heat up.

Overall, I highly recommend this curling wand! It’s pricey, but sometimes Ulta or other places have sales so definitely check it out. Click here to see it on the Ulta website. I hope you guys enjoyed and feel free to ask any questions! And I will be posting more!
