Dark Spot Treatment Update

Hello everyone!

I recently had success with treating my dark spots that I received from pimples I have popped. I know…gross, but that’s real life. Lesson: Try not to pop your zits. If you’re like me, sometimes you just can’t help it. But, because I have a dark and olive complexion, popping pimples almost always leaves a dark spot. I decided to find a treatment a couple months ago and it actually works! I wanted to share what helped my dark spots and hopefully it can help any of you guys who are facing the same problem.

Around the end of October, I had shared my first few experiences with the Annie’s Way Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brightnening Jelly Mask. I had seen results the first couple times, which encouraged me to continue using it.

Darkspots

I’ve used the mask about eight times and these are the results. About two months and a couple weeks is the time span. Ignoring my super large pores, you can see that the top mark is gone! I was so happy seeing these pictures! The bottom one is still there, but has faded drastically! I used the mask usually every week and a half, sometimes every two weeks. I used it as a spot treatment on those marks too. Overall, I’m really happy with the outcome of the mask! I got it for $19.50 from Beauteque. I’m sure if you look for it on Amazon or something like that, you’ll be able to find it! Click here for my full review on the mask!

I hope this helps some of you! Feel free to comment or ask questions!

How Almond Oil Helps Me

Hello everyone!

Today, I wanted to talk about how almond oil has helped me, in more than one way. First of all, hair-wise, almond oil is amazing when you want to do a scalp massage. Once a week, before I go to sleep, I’ll put about 5 drops on each part of my scalp, (middle, left, and right) and just massage it in.I use the excess on the rest of my hair, especially the ends. Then, I put on a silk sleeping cap, (I know weird), and just sleep with it on. When I wake up, I wash it out and continue with my regular shampoo/conditioner routine. The almond oil makes my hair really soft and after I wash it out, my hair is more glossy than usual. It’s amazing!

Almond Oil

For my face, I apply it as a moisturizer every night. I just drop a couple drops into my hands, rub them together, then onto my face. I’ve been using almond oil since November, and it’s really helped my face. In the winter, I usually get dry patches because it’s so cold, but with the almond oil, I was able to keep the dry patches under control. Also, I have a couple dark spots, and the almond oil helped ease them up a little. Any little thing helps, especially with dark spots.

Another thing almond oil has helped me with is my lips. My lips are constantly dry, so I have to keep applying tons of chapstick. Because of that, I do lip scrubs at least once a month, and afterwards I apply almond oil to them. I also apply almond oil to them every night, as well. Almond oil is amazingly moisturizing and my lips always feel nice and plump. When I wake up in the morning, my lips are still moisturized!

The last thing almond oil has helped me with is my cuticles. My cuticles have always been rough and dry, and I had decided to go buy some cuticle oil. But when I saw the prices, I decided not to. Come on, $10 for a little bottle for your nails?! I don’t think so. So when I was applying the almond oil to my face one night, I just used the leftover on my hand for my cuticles. After doing this for a couple months, my cuticles are nice and moisturized. No more dry skin around them!

I basically used almond oil all over my face, hair, and nails. It’s extremely moisturizing and lasts a long time. I bought Sweet Almond Oil from Sally’s Beauty Supply, for about $7. At first, I thought that was expensive, but I still have that same bottle. I bought it in November and now it’s June! It’s only half way done even though I’ve used so much of it, nightly!

Do you guys have any essential oils you like to use?

Review: Black Seaweed Peel-Off Masque

Hey guys!

So I’m completely obsessed with this masque! I’ve only used it about 3-4 times, but I absolutely love it. It’s the Black Seaweed Peel-Off Masque, by the brand Montagne Jeunesse.

Black Seaweed Masque

The product itself is extremely sticky when you’re putting it on your face. But, it’s more of a thin consistency, rather than thick, so it’s not messy at all. All you need is a thin, even layer. Just let it sit for about 15-20 minutes, and you should be able to peel it off easily. See the video of how I put it on!

Black Mask Seaweed

My face feels so clean and soft afterwards! The first time I tried this mask, I had a breakout on both my temples, and they went down slightly after this mask! Definitely try this is you have breakouts and oily skin. The mask is PETA and vegetarian approved and is animal-cruelty free. The two main ingredients are Black Laver Seaweed and Sea Buckthorn. The description on the package says, “A seaside detox to cleanse deeply and peel off dirt and grease weekly”. Anything that takes dirt and grease off my face is welcomed.

The only downside to this masque is that I can’t find it in a tube! I’ve only seen it in the little packages, which I get 2 uses out of. But, I would prefer the big tube, so I don’t have to buy the packages in bulk. But the packages are $2 at Ulta, so it’s not too bad.

Overall, this mask is amazing! You get a lot of benefits for an inexpensive price. Let me know if you guys have tried it!

3 Favorite Finds!

Hello everyone!

Hope you’re having an awesome hump-day! I wanted to share three awesome products I recently discovered!

1. Neutrogena Makeup Removers (4 in a pack):

Neutrogena Makeup Remover

Okay, I’ve used the Neutrogena blue make-up removers for a couple of years and I absolutely loved them! What I found out was that Sam’s Club, (sells things in bulk), sells them in a box, 4 packets for $13.88! Each packet has 25 towelettes, so you get 100! At CVS, one pack is about $8. Now that’s a deal people! If you don’t have a Sam’s by you, maybe try Costco’s or any warehouse-bulk type of stores.

2. Complexion Rescue in Tan 07 by BareMinerals

Complexion Rescue: bareMinerals

I was Ulta around the end of January, and saw this being advertised, right in the front. I really like tinted moisturizers and after testing out the color/texture, I had to buy it! I love it because it has probably the best moisturizing touch I’ve ever felt compared to other tinted moisturizers. Right now, I’ve been wearing it for two weeks, about every day, and I’m loving yet. I will do a full review on it, but I want to wear it for a while, so it can be more in depth.

3. Surreal Concealer in Olive #5 by Surrat

Surrat Beauty Concealer

So, I only got this 4 days ago…and it completely saved my face. I had a random breakout, and me being me, I had to pop those suckers (gross, I know). You could clearly see the hideous red spots, and I was out of my usual concealer. I got the Surrat Concealer in my Wantable Box and figured why not try it out now. It’s amazing. After I blend it out, it look like there’s nothing wrong with my face. It doesn’t look cakey and so far, it hasn’t broken me out. Like the one above, I will do a full review, after I’ve used it for a while. I just want to give you guys my full experience, and I definitely can’t get that in less than a week.

I know there’s only 3 products, but I had to share them because I love them so much already! Feel free to comment with any questions and let me know if you like it!

Review: Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream

Hello there!

Today, I wanted to talk about my favorite CC cream. It’s the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream. I love this because it’s super lightweight on your face, perfect for when you want that no-makeup/natural look. CC stands for a color correcting, and this cream does that for me.

It helps even out my skin color and lessen the redness I have. It is quite opaque , so if you’re looking for more coverage, I wouldn’t suggest this. The moisture it provides is amazing. I love using this on super cold days, because my face tends to get flaky, because it gets so dry from the wind and such, even with a regular moisturizer on.

This is an oil-free CC cream, but if you do have oily skin, I wouldn’t suggest it, unless you have a super good setting powder. The reason for that is because it is meant to moisturize your skin, and the finishing look is a dewy/glowy type of finish.

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream in Medium Deep.

When you have oily skin, this might make you too shiny. In the picture above, (sorry I know it’s not the sharpest quality), you can see the glow it gives, but still keeps it looking  natural. I usually just apply some powder on my cheeks and on the corners of my nose, to lessen the dewy look a little bit. Using this out in the sun is great because it has 30 spf. Also, the light coverage and glowy natural look is perfect for the summer, when you just don’t want to wear a lot of makeup.

It is a little pricey. It’s $37.00 at the Belk counter. There is 1.4 fl. oz of the product, and a little goes a long way. Since I usually just use it for the “natural look”, I don’t really put too much of it on. I’ve been using this product for about 3 years and one usually lasts me about half a year. I feel like the price is alright, seeing as it lasts that long and actually works.

Let me know if you guys have tried it or if you have any questions!
