I have a fun glittery and purple look for you guys today! I felt a little burned out from work yesterday, and then I looked at my makeup and felt really creative. Creating new looks really helps lessen my stress and I love doing it!
So without further ado, here’s the look. It’s pretty simple actually. I used three different shades of purple eyeshadows, a gold liner, and a white pencil liner.
I used two palette’s, the Makeup Revolution palette and the Sweet Peach palette from Too-Face.
First, from the Makeup Revolution palette, I used the lightest shade of purple on my inner corners. Then, I took the purple shade next to it and swept it across the rest of my lids.
For the outer corners, I took a little of the dark purple from the Sweet Peach palette, and carefully blended that out.
I created a simple wing with my gold glitter eyeliner for NYX. Then, I finished the look off with lining my water liner with white pencil liner from NYX.
I hope you guys enjoyed this look! Thanks for reading!
Today I finally have a beauty post for all of you! I know I’ve been doing a lot of the daily prompts, but those really help get my thoughts out and I hope that you guys don’t mind too much.
But today is a beauty day! I created this gold and shimmery eye look, using a mixture of NYX’s Natural pallete and their Dubai palette. It’s a full-face tutorial, using the Clinique Foundation and Concealer foundation, which I will definitely be doing a separate post on.
Thank you so much for reading and feel free to leave any comments!
So around early December, I saw the NYX Wanderlust Lip and Eye Collections in Ulta, for about $10. The palettes are centered about the NYX Soft Matte Creams. I saw all of the ones named after cities, like Dubai, London, Stockholm, etc. I fell in love with the Dubai palette and had to buy it.
The eyeshadows are all great and pigmented. The purple at the top, the two below, the brown shade on the third row, and the orangy/burgundy shade at the bottom are all shimmery. The others are more of a matte finish. I like the variety of colors and that they kept the basic colors matte.
I absolutely love the Soft Matte Cream in Dubai. It’s the perfect brown shade for me. I used it in the video below.
Here’s a gold look I created on my youtube channel with this palette:

There has been a lot of talk about color-correcting nowadays. I’ve been correcting my dark circles for a while. Sometimes I use red lipstick, which you can read about here. Other times, I use products specifically made for color-correcting. I’m still new to the other colors, besides peach and salmon. I wanted a palette where I could experiment without spending too much money and the NYX Color-Correcting Concealer palette has it all. Today, all I’m going to focus on is the green corrector.
The green helps to cancel out redness. It follows the color-wheel idea, where one color can cancel out another. You can read more about it here. My process is very simple. All I do is apply moisturizer and primer before I apply the corrector. I use my finger to dab the green onto the red areas of my face. Around my nose and cheeks are wear I apply it normally. Then, I apply dots to my pimples. It doesn’t completely fade them, but it tones the color down after you apply foundation or CC creams.
I did apply the salmon color of the palette on my dark circles, as well.
It does make quite a difference! In this particular palette, the green color is a good beginner color. The texture is quite creamy and blends easier. I want to look for something thicker, because I find this one sheer. It does work, but I want to see if a more pigmented one will help my skin look even better.
I hope this helped any of you who want to try color-correcting! Feel free to leave any questions or comments!
Today, I’m heading out for a casual hangout with some friends. I thought that I would share my simple outfit and easy makeup look. Hope you guys enjoy!
First, I applied Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream, to moisturize my skin. Then, I used the NYX Pore Filler around and on my nose. The “before” is with both of those two products on. The foundation I used was the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, in the color Caramel Beige.
Next, I had to work on my awful dark circles. I color-corrected with the lipstick Chaos, from NYX. If you have no idea why I did that, click here. After I massaged it in with my fingers, I applied my Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Concealer, which is in Shade 02- Light to Medium. The difference is amazing!
After that, I just did what was left.
Brows: NYX’s Tame and Frame: Tinted Brow Pomade in Black
Today, I wanted to share a handy, little trick that I learned to hide under eye circles. I actually learned this method from Deepica Mutyala, but I changed the products she used to make it a bit more affordable. The idea is using a lipstick as a correcter. I choose the bright red Chaos by NYX, which was only about $4! Can’t go wrong with that.
I prefer to do this after I put on my foundation, but feel free to do it before. All I do it take my pinky finger and tap on some of the Chaos on my dark circles. Also, I add some to the outer corner of my eyes because those are also very dark. I rub it out lightly, just to get it to not be too bright. You want a “haven’t slept in days/kinda dead” look, rather than a “by mistake I applied bright red lipstick to my eyes” look. Know what a mean? If not, here’s a picture.
Basically, just look like a tired zombie…
After that, I just add my concealer all over it. I use the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. I prefer to tap it on with my finger. If you use a brush, pat the concealer in lightly, don’t drag the brush or else you’ll move your concealer and the red lipstick.
This bright red color is better for medium/olive skin tones close to mine. If you want to see which color is for you, check out this correcter site. For whatever color it says cancels out your dark circles/blemishes, just get a lipstick. You can use it as a double duty makeup weapon: correcter and lipstick!
Hope you guys enjoyed! Thanks so much for reading!
I hope that everyone is having a great start to the weekend! I wanted to share a quick edgy look. It’s pretty different for me, but giving yourself a new look is fun!
I used my BareMinerals Matte Foundation in Medium Tan and then covered up my dark eye circles with my Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. Then for my eyes, I used the NYX Natural Palete.
First, I applied the light brown color, third from the right. Then, I just took little bits of the darkest color and patted it onto my eyelids. I didn’t brush it in, because I didn’t want the color to be too harsh. I was going for a soft dark look. Then, to give more of an edge I used my Wet N’ Wild Mega Liner to give a winged look. After that, I used the white color, all the way on the left to highlight my upper brow To finish the look off, I used the NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Chaos and blotted it out a little, and there you go!
Let me know if you guys like this look! Have a great weekend!
